ABOUT DR. ARCE

CEO, Clinical Director and Psychologist

Dr. Arce is a licensed clinical psychologist, experienced in working with multicultural individuals, catering treatment to patient's needs. She has worked in multiple settings including: university counseling, hospitals, medical school, and community mental health agencies. Most recently she has worked with couples in pre-marital counseling. Dr. Arce specializes in ADHD assessment, life transitions, anxiety disorders, depression, heath-related difficulties, relationships, and spiritual development. Communication of needs and progress are reviewed regularly to ensure that each patient finds value in the time spent in treatment.

Within the ADHD assessment clinic, Dr. Arce also conducts differential diagnosis of learning disorders, cognitive difficulty and psychological disorders. She has developed and worked within an ADHD assessment clinic at Loma Linda School of Medicine, Department of Psychology and at Bay Area Community Health in Fremont, CA. Assessment, feedback, and letters of recommendation for accommodations are included in these services.

She is comfortable working on concrete, achievement-focused goals as well as working in an open, supportive-listening role. Treatments include CBT, motivational interviewing, and focusing on values and strengths to encourage positive change.

Individual, couples and family counseling using values-based interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy,  motivational interviewing, and time-limited dynamic psychotherapy. Advocacy for community access to psychological testing and resources.

Provided behavioral health interventions in an integrated team located in a community health clinic working with primary care providers, nutritionists, dental, vision and chiropractic providers all in one center. Developed BACH's Neuropsychological Assessment/ADHD clinic. Worked within medical team to provide collaborative, whole-person care, and crisis management regarding psychological distress and suicide risk. Connected patients with local services that provided housing, food, accommodations, etc. Provided weekly individual psychotherapy for individuals, and group therapy for individuals with chronic pain using CBT interventions and psychoeducation.

Developed and ran ADHD assessment clinic for the Department of Psychiatry at Loma Linda Medical School. Work within medical teams to develop program integrating mental health into the medical setting. Crisis management regarding psychological distress and suicide risk assessment. Provide weekly individual psychotherapy and consultation for Loma Linda University graduate students and adults in a university counseling and community-based setting. In conjunction with Riverside Regional Medical Center, Dr. Arce helped to develop a program integrating psychological screening, psychoeducation and intervention into specialty clinics including diabetes, chronic heart failure, and COPD.

Dr. Arce also specialized in couple's work during her time at this site. Presenting problems include: anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment, and interpersonal stressors.
